half-pixelart? :) lots of great 1px brush work

Pixelart? Not sure why you say that....?
It's a render painted over in Paint Shop Pro. I'm sure the 1px brush was used a bit but so were much larger ones hehe

her tattoo, hair, reflections on outfit - the effect disappears, when you change the size of this image. it's closer to pixelart look IMO than to "classic" digital speedpaintings (mostly done on high resolutions, then scaled down)

Picture is worth 1000 words. This is the old quirk in action. Screen cap from PSP 6. Later versions, the zoom behaves the same way Photoshop's does.

ah, I see. and how do you antialias the edges? another layer with smoothly scaled image?

Yup, that's exactly how I do it. Smooth scaled as the background, the sharp image on a top layer and just erase or cut off anything on the sharp layer I don't want.

Side effect of creative resizing to preserve the details when shrunk for web display...I'm tricksy like that ;)

The original is 3300 x 5400 pixels in dimensions and done in the traditional, digital way. PSP versions 6 and lower have an odd quirk of not smoothing the image view when you zoom out.... handy for that effect when one wants it.

wow amazing what program do you use for the 3d work ?

The initial render came out of Poser using Daz3D's V3 model. I do modeling in either 3DS Max or Shade, but there wasn't any modeling done for this ;)

Wow again! I just love the techniques you've used on the beadwork for her gown. Looks realistic and beautiful.
